It Doesn’t Matter Where You Start

Two things that are true about me:

  1. I love to read and anytime I get excited about learning something new, I immediately find at least one book about it (and feel certain it will change everything).

  2. I sometimes get hung up on the idea of “the perfect plan” (more about this in another post).

But something else that I’ve found to be true is that it’s all moving me in the direction of my favorite self. The version of me that is the most “ME” - the one that embodies all that Little Nikki joy, creativity, and love. And that’s the goal for me. To keep moving in her direction and let her be fully realized.

So whether you start with yoga, eating foods that make you feel good inside your body, mindfulness, meditation, prayer, running, therapy, reading books, affirmations,  listening to podcasts, talking with kick-ass friends who make you feel like you can take on the world, working on your relationship stuff with your partner, healing childhood trauma, art therapy, dance, or whatever it is you’re doing to heal your life…

It doesn’t matter where you start.

It’s all good and it’s all moving you toward your joyful, healing, love-magnet self.

Whenever I think about this idea I always imagine spokes on a wheel.

They all lead to the center and the center is you.

The version of you unencumbered by shame, shedding the parts that no longer serve you, and letting go of old ways of coping that may have worked then, but are kind of getting in your way now.

I’m here cheering you on no matter where you start!

If you think therapy might be the path that’s right for you now, I’d be honored to chat with you more.

Just click “request a session” and we can schedule a free chat about where you’re headed.
