How Old Do You Feel?

Think about how old you feel in your most painful moments.

Often my clients find that an age pops in their mind when we talk about this and it’s usually between 3 and 10.

What is that child part of you thinking and feeling?

If my client is a parent/aunt/etc. I ask them to think about how they would comfort this child they love so much.

What would they say to her if she was scared or hurting?

Learning to nurture the parts of you that feel young and vulnerable can be comforting and can help you start to shift your relationship with yourself to one that is more compassionate.

If you’re curious about learning more about how to comfort those tender parts of yourself, I would love to talk to you. Just click “Request a Session” and let me know a little bit about yourself. I’ll reach out to schedule a free consultation to see if we might be a good fit for therapy.
