You are the Author and the Hero
Life can be a lot.
It can be overwhelming, and sometimes, the busyness of day-to-day living and caring for the people we love is all-consuming. At times, you may feel stuck and powerless. During these moments, it can be helpful to think of your life as a book. You may not be sure how the story ends, and you may have chapters that you don't love. That's fair because you don’t control everything that happens in your story.
But remember, you're still the author. This is still your story.
Think about your current chapter... Imagine yourself as the heroine or main character (if you aren’t feeling so heroic). What would you title your current chapter? What is your character struggling with now? What is going well? What are they hoping for? What are they afraid of?
And then, ask yourself what you want your next chapter to be. What does your character need to do differently now to make those changes happen? What small step can they take today that their character will thank them for in the next chapter?
Does your character need help being more assertive? Or even just figuring out what she wants next? Maybe she needs help navigating some tricky relationships, or she just needs more support so that she doesn’t feel alone in creating the life she wants.
